What this site is

This site describes the repair and maintenance services the shop offers and explains, in general terms, what common symptoms tend to mean. Nothing on it is a diagnosis of your vehicle, and nothing on it is a final quote.

Prices shown on the site cover most vehicles and are a starting point. The price you pay is the price you approve after your vehicle has been inspected.

Using the site

• Use it for its intended purpose: learning about services and getting in touch.
• Do not scrape, copy, or republish the content, and do not use automated tools to access the site or submit its forms.
• Do not try to interfere with the site or its security.
• Do not submit information that is false, or that belongs to someone else, through the contact form.

The contact form

When you send a message through the site, we use the details you provide to reply about your vehicle. Submitting the form is your permission for us to contact you at the phone number and email address you gave us for that purpose.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages from the shop, you will receive appointment reminders and updates about your vehicle. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of having work done.

Our content

The text, images, and design of this site belong to The Chattanooga Mechanic or are used with permission. You are welcome to read it and share links to it. You may not republish or resell it.

Other companies' names

Vehicle makes and model names that appear on this site, such as Ford and Toyota, are trademarks of their owners. They are used only to describe the vehicles we service. They do not mean those companies endorse this shop, and they do not mean this shop is affiliated with them.

Links to other sites

Where this site links to another website, that site has its own terms and its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.

The website is provided as is

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be either. To the extent the law allows, the site is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for losses that come from relying on it or from being unable to use it.

This paragraph is about the website. It does not change the warranty on repair work, which is the 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on covered work stated on your invoice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute about them will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
